Opus Education are currently recruiting for a SEN school based in Dawlish, who are looking for SEN Teachers on a Fixed Term contract until December with a view of extending.

The school work closely with our children/young people, their families and professionals to create bespoke programmes of learning for students, which are tailored to their educational and social and emotional needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential. This means that theydeliver a personalised curriculum, which, where possible, acknowledges the national curriculum and meets the individual needs of our students, whilst also supporting them to meet the outcomes identified in their EHCPs.

About the role/person:

Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient! - this role can be challenging, but it is very rewarding!

Have a QTS 

Ideally you will have experience working within an SEND/SEMH school

Have a strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with both pupils and parents

Experience working with learners at a PMLD/SLD level and having a good understanding of sensory needs. 

Be able to communicate effectively with students/staff and parents, where required

Has a passion for teaching and making a difference in a young persons life

This role will be paid to scale as there will be elements of Planning and Marking involved

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a fixed term position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
