Hours of work: Variable hours Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm

Salary : £10.00 per hour

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, caring and dedicated Nursery Assistant. As a key member of staff you will take a pro-active role in the support of the educational and physical needs of the pupils with a focus on an individual’s support poviding high quality education and support for pupils age 0-5 years with access to a wide variety of play spaces that are specifically designed to offer security and challenge.

A little bit about the role…

 Build effective relationships and fully engage with children, parents and colleagues to deliver the best possible service and care

Learn how to create safe and stimulating environments in line with the nursery ethos.

Learn how to observe, assess and plan to support the individual needs of children

Understand and implement safeguarding, health and safety and welfare policies

 

What skills & experience do you need…

  • To be committed to entering a career in childcare
  • Evident enthusiasm for working with children and delivering high quality childcare/early years education
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to plan own work and resources
  • Ability to establish good relationships with parents – demonstrating a welcoming and approachable persona
  • Good understanding of the policies and practices within a childcare setting
  • Has a continuous learning ethos and dedication to maintaining and improving high standards
  • Strong team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Good, confident and honest communicator
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and ability to think on their feet
  • Level 2 or 3 CACHE of Equivalent Child Qualification
